The National Debt

The President said in a recent campaign commercial that his policies are designed to help pay down the national debt.  If anyone actually believes that after the past three and one half years, I challenge them to implement those policies in their own household.  After all, if it is sound policy it should be easy to verify on a small scale shouldn't it?
